Changing Recipes

I love making recipes heart healthy.  I love to go to web sites and find good recipes that I can make heart healthy.  I use Splenda, Splenda Sugar Blend and Splenda Brown Sugar in my recipes.  I like to use light butter for the oil in the recipes.  I use fat free creamer or half and half fat free cream for the liquid ingredients.  There are times that I use the flavored fat free creamers in my recipes.

I grind my own hamburger meat.  I know that I am getting the lowest fat calorie count.  I know what goes into the meat.  It is almost fat free.  I look for lean cuts of meat when they are on sale.  I take the fat off my meats and chicken.  I love to blacken fish.

I grind my own pork to make heart healthy sausage.

I use herbs for seasoning.  It cuts down on the amount of salt that I use.  You can use fresh herbs or dry herbs. There are many new blends on the market.

You can use items that are fat free or light.  Look in the stores and find items that are more heart healthy.

I use cook books that already have the nutrition amounts and then modify the lite butter for oil, etc.

Dieting does not have to be boring!  Make it fun.   If you do not like to count calories, make smaller portions and push back from the table when you think about having a second serving.

When you look in the mirror start liking the person you see.  It is God looking back at you.  You are made in his image.  Take one feature at a time and starting loving what you see.

Making heart healthy recipes help you in counting caloriesHealthy dieting and exercise will help your body to lose weight.
